Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 August 2026

1. Who runs this site

soekoht.com is run by MTÜ SOEkoht, a non-profit association registered in Estonia (registry code 80658624), based in Sillamäe. Contact: info@soekoht.com.

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. What this site is

SOE koht is a community project restoring and caring for the place by the Sõtke river in Sillamäe. The site exists to share news and plans, show photographs of the place and its history, let people offer help, and accept donations towards the work.

It is an informational site for a charitable project. It is not a shop, and nothing here is professional, legal or financial advice.

3. Using the site

You may read, share and link to anything here. When you use our forms and suggestion boxes, please:

  • send only information that is true, and that is yours to send;
  • do not send anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, or that harasses or exposes another person;
  • do not send other people's personal data without their agreement;
  • do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its accounts.

We may remove any submission and, where necessary, restrict access, without notice.

4. What you send us

You keep ownership of the ideas, texts and other material you send. By sending them, you give us permission to use them for the project — to read them, act on them, and where it makes sense publish them on this site or our social media channels, without payment.

Do not send anything confidential. Suggestions are collected without names, and we cannot credit or return them.

5. Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts to MTÜ SOEkoht and fund the project's work. They are not payment for goods or services, and they give no ownership, membership or entitlement in the association.

Payments are handled on the pages of Coop Pank. We never receive your card or bank credentials. A SEPA QR code is also offered for people whose bank is elsewhere.

Because a donation is a gift, it is not generally refundable. If something went wrong — a duplicate payment, a wrong amount, a mistake — write to info@soekoht.com and we will look at it in good faith.

Your name is published as a donor only if you explicitly allow it on the donation form.

6. Our content

Texts, photographs and the SOE koht logo on this site belong to MTÜ SOEkoht or are used with permission, unless stated otherwise. You may quote and share them with attribution and a link back. Please ask before commercial use.

Historical photographs on the history pages come from archives and private collections and are shown to document the place. If you hold rights to any of them and want a correction or removal, write to us.

7. Other people's services

The site links to and embeds material from other services — among them YouTube, Google Forms and our social media pages. Those services have their own terms and privacy rules, and we are not responsible for their content or behaviour.

8. Availability and liability

We run this site as volunteers and offer it as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or up to date, and we may change or remove any part of it at any time.

To the extent Estonian law allows, MTÜ SOEkoht is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.

These terms are governed by Estonian law, and disputes fall to the courts of Estonia.
